It is a matter of pleasure for us to introduce this book “Statistics-1” (Basic statistics) for the students of first-semester B.Com Programme. The book is prepared according to the new syllabus, effective from June-2016, introduced by Gujarat University.

Each topic has detailed theory for thorough subject knowledge, illustrative examples for the conceptual understanding and an exhaustive exercise with added objectives.

Components

The book statistics-1 consists of four units which are:

• Linear Correlation
• Association of Attributes
• Linear Regression
• Business Forecasting

Objectives

We have tried to discuss the said topics in a simple language. Review exercises at the end of each chapter and multiple-choice questions along with answers.We hope this would help the students in their preparations for examinations.
