This book “Statistics -2” is prepared according to the new Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), effective from June-2016, introduced by Gujarat University under UGC guidelines.

It is a very proactive system as it engages both faculty and students throughout the year in academic activity.

Components

The book of Statistics is divided into four units that are;

• Introduction to Operations Research and Linear Programming
• Transportation Problem
• Assignment and Replacement Problem
• PERT and CPM

Objective

We have tried to discuss the said topics in a simple language. Review exercises at the end of each chapter and multiple-choice questions along with answers.We hope this would help the students in their preparations for examinations.
